2021 Hyundai Kona electric
I grew up with electric vehicles. I took the subway as a kid most places I wanted to go in the city. If the subway didn’t go where I needed to be, I took an electric tram to that part of the city. If I had to leave the city, I took an electric train to other cities, or even countries.
I took for granted the power and torque and the relative quiet. But all of these got their juice from a third rail or overhead wires. I’m sure they also had batteries, but not to move them around.
One of the neighbourhood kids, though, had a miniature rideable electric car. Time to imagine the future – a crossover with plenty of torque, more than adequate space and acceptable range.
The 2021 Hyundai Kona electric is now the previously missing ingredient to my electric past – but with complete travel flexibility on destinations. And more comfort than a city tram!
